The Henry Mountains in southern Utah has enough rocks for each person on the earth to have one of their own. They could keep it as an ornament, a conversation piece, or in a special place in their garden. With this wonderful piece of geology they could find enjoyment or pain. How often in life do we have something, maybe just an obscure rock, that we trip on or find enjoyment in.
There are many cross roads in our lives that we must choose which of the paths to travel. I came to a cross road in the henrys, my wife took the picture (above) of this fork in the road and we chose the left. It was beautiful and rewarding and the right choice at the time. Or was it? I don’t know what was to the right. What did we miss? What mountain adventure did we never experience? Trivial compared to the choices of relationships we often blunder. We try to do the things that bring us happiness. Our educations dictate our abilities to choose.
Our choices take us down paths of truth or error, joy or pain, life or death. Take the road of learning, the road of service, the road of gratitude, and the road of forgiveness.
